The best leaders use coaching and mentoring skills to guide individual team members to achieve extraordinary results. In this workshop, participants learn more about this thing called coaching and discover how it is similar to and different from mentoring. They’ll be introduced to coaching models, explore the basic skill set for coaches, get an opportunity to practice some critical coaching skills, and much more. Participants will leave the class with practical strategies for coaching others to set goals, develop action plans, and obtain desired results.
Here’s what some participants had to say about this workshop:

“Wasn’t bored at end of class like I usually am in these classes. Great topic and teacher! Good exercises, good definitions!”
How To Turn Conflict Into Collaboration
Half-day workshop
Every project has stakeholders and when you have stakeholders with competing needs, you are going to have conflict. Conflict is not ‘bad,’ in fact it can be beneficial if viewed as an opportunity for improving project team communication and leading to better problem solving. However, conflict does need to be recognized, managed effectively, and resolved. This class examines the causes of conflict, typical responses, and the process of conflict resolution. Class participants will discover their preferred conflict style after taking an assessment. Through lecture and exercises, participants will learn how to turn conflict into collaboration by surfacing the issues creating the conflict, promoting a win-win scenario, and obtaining a commitment to action.
Interpersonal Communication Excellence
Offered as a half-day or full-day workshop
What makes someone a great communicator? Contrary to what you might believe, effective interpersonal communication is more about who you are, what you think, and what you don’t say than what you do say. In this interactive workshop, participants learn more about themselves, explore mental models, practice active listening, and are introduced to a step-by-step process for communicating more effectively at work and at home.
